Privacy, without the mystery.
Right Then is local-first. Your progress belongs to you. This page explains what the app stores, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.
The short version
Your progress, settings and other app data are stored on your device. If you use iCloud continuity, supported data is also stored in your private iCloud database so it can stay in sync across your Apple devices.
Right Then does not currently use advertising SDKs or third-party behavioural analytics, and 22 things ltd does not currently operate its own server for your V1 progress data.
Information you create
This may include your chosen start date, labels you create, progress history, selected context, Personality and Banter Mix settings, privacy choices, milestones, optional estimated-impact inputs, Side Count data and related selection/settings state.
On-device storage
Right Then uses Apple platform storage on your device. Some information is shared between the app and its widgets through an Apple App Group so those widgets can display the right state.
Private iCloud continuity
Where available, Right Then uses your private Apple CloudKit database for cross-device continuity. Apple operates iCloud and CloudKit under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Apple using StoreKit. The app checks Apple-verified entitlement information on device. Right Then does not currently operate a separate purchase-processing server.
Widgets, notifications and sharing
Widgets and optional milestone notifications follow the privacy choices you make. Sharing is user initiated and uses Apple's standard share system. Nothing is automatically posted publicly by Right Then.
Exporting your data
V1 includes an Export my data control in Privacy & data. It creates a human-readable JSON file from the current data available on your device and hands it to Apple's standard save/share flow. Exporting does not change your data.
Deleting your data
Right Then includes Delete all data. This removes app data from the device and starts the supported private-iCloud deletion lifecycle designed to prevent an older synced copy from simply restoring it later.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current V1 product does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party behavioural analytics SDKs, App Tracking Transparency tracking or cross-app/site advertising tracking.
External support resources
Right Then may open independent services such as NHS, GamCare or Samaritans. Those organisations have their own privacy practices.
